Data You Give Us Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party service that provides results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. When you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Our host maintains routine server logs, such as an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and time of access. We use aggregated log information to operate the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may also enable basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
We use this limited information to run the site, address technical issues, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Sites and Services
Links may lead to Winchester, Middlesex, Massachusetts, library, archive, or third-party search resources. Information sent to those destinations is governed by their own privacy practices, not this policy. That includes sponsored results supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Apart from that processing, we disclose information only when required by valid legal process.
Data Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. No account, password, or visitor profile is created on this site. Massachusetts laws concerning personal-information safeguards and disposal, M.G.L. c. 93H and M.G.L. c. 93I, apply to the relevant entities and records they govern.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on your location, you may have rights to ask a website to access, correct, or delete personal information it keeps. The Winchester research did not locate an enacted Massachusetts comprehensive consumer-privacy law with universal access, deletion, or opt-out rights. Because we keep very little, we can check the contact mailbox and applicable server logs for a request and remove information we find where appropriate. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by a Massachusetts or Winchester custodian are outside our control, and requests about those records must go to the custodian.
Updates to This Policy
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a revision means acceptance of the updated policy.
